Cleaning:

Keep your product clean regularly. Dirt and mud should be brushed off once it has dried naturally. Wipe with a clean, damp cloth if necessary. Never wash in the washing machine. Immersion and exposure to detergents can attack the sewing and bonding agents within products.

Drying:

Dry slowly using natural air circulation or room temperature. Do not expose the product to a direct heat source. Dry paper can also be used to fill the product to maintain the shape of the product in storage.

Waterproof Treatment:

A waterproof product has been purchased. The leather should be treated regularly with waterproofing sprays or creams and conditioners. Used in wet conditions, the leather will experience a gradual loss of its water resistance qualities and, if left untreated, the leather will slowly harden and crack. HI-TEC boots may need more frequent treatment if used extensively in cold, wet conditions where chemical salts are used on trails and roads in icy conditions.

Linings:

The Lining used in HI-TEC products is made from a comfortable breathable material that requires little to no maintenance. Moisture from the foot is absorbed and the drying process is quick due to the breathable nature of the linings.

General Care:

Do not over-apply a leather waterproofing treatment to the product. especially to the lace accessories. To preserve the shape and durability of your HI-TEC products, make sure the laces are undone before removing the product.
